I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at Fudan University. I previously received my bachelor’s degree from Hubei University and my master’s degree from the CAS Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences (CEMPS).
My research interest revolves around studying the impact of gut microbiota on human health, particularly focusing on the genetic manipulation of intestinal bacteria. Through my previous studies at CEMPS, I have acquired proficiency in the genetic manipulation of some industrial anaerobic bacteria, such as Clostridium ljungdahlii, Clostridium acetobutylicum, and Clostridium beijerinckii.
In the coming years, I aspire to utilize gene editing techniques to investigate the gene expression and metabolic processes of key gut bacteria, aiming to explore their roles in disease prevention and treatment. Furthermore, I’d like to employ gene editing technologies to develop novel strategies for treating microbiota-related disorders.
