My research interests lie in environmental and gut microbiomes and their interactions with the host. By harnessing the genetic resources and metabolic potential of microbial communities, I aim to contribute to the development of novel biotechnological tools. Furthermore, I seek to elucidate the regulatory dynamics between the gut microbiota and the host by investigating tripartite interactions among bacteriophages, prokaryotes, and eukaryotes. This work will provide a foundational framework for understanding how the gut microbiota influences human phenotypes, including health and disease.
