I am interested to isolate new bacterial strains from our gut and to characterize their genetic and metabolic capacities hoping to identify some new probiotics that could be used to treat metabolic diseases. I have covered microbiology and genetics during my college study and learning genetic manipulation of anaerobes together with Prof. Xiaoming Ding and Tony Wu.
